Project Summary

As the UI/UX designer for the redesign of Georgia’s Peach Pass Go mobile app, I was responsible for transforming the app’s user experience to enhance usability and modernize its design. This project aimed to create a more intuitive and user-friendly interface while incorporating contemporary design elements to meet the needs of current users.

Challenges

The app’s original design had cumbersome navigation and required users to go through multiple steps to perform simple tasks. My first step was to conduct user research to identify pain points and understand user needs. I used this information to create a simplified user flow, allowing users to access key features with fewer clicks.

My Role

UI/UX Designer & Photographer

What I Did:

  • User Research: Organized all past customers complaints and reviews to understand user pain points and expectations
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Created low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes to map out the app’s user journey
  • UI Design: Designed a clean and modern interface, focusing on intuitive navigation and clear visual hierarchy
  • User Testing: Performed usability tests with actual users to identify areas for improvement and gather feedback
  • Made SVG and vector graphics for development
  • Made Intuitive, user-friendly layout
  • Created Responsive design for mobile devices
  • Took professional HD photos for app and website use

Conclusion

The revamped Peach Pass app received positive feedback from users, with many praising the improved navigation and modern design. The updated app contributed to a measurable increase in user engagement, with a rise in active users and higher rates of in-app purchases.

The photography added a new level of visual interest, helping users connect with the app’s purpose and the broader Georgia road network. This visual enhancement, combined with the improved user interface, created a more compelling and user-friendly app.

Overall, the redesign of the Peach Pass app demonstrates the importance of a comprehensive approach to UI/UX design and photography. By focusing on user needs and visual appeal, SRTA successfully modernized the app, leading to greater customer satisfaction and increased sales.
